Welcome to the web site dedicated to the Drive-In Church, Portrush. Portrush is the top tourist
town in Northern Ireland and is situated on the famous and beautiful Causeway Coast. Every
Sunday evening, in the height of the tourist season, many people make their way to the East Strand
car park in the town for the Drive-In Church. This year's series ran from Sunday 13th July to the 10th August. Each week we have visiting guests who take part either in testimony or song. Rev. Eric Stewart, M.A. who organises and runs the Portrush Drive-In church brings the closing message at each of the services. Check out the programme below for the details of those who share each Sunday.
The service is broadcast to the carpark via 4 large speakers and you can also listen on your car radio (103.5FM). This is a real benefit especially if it rains and for those who can't get parked close to the trailer. This year's programme was:
The Drive-In season passes by so quickly. Come along if you can and enter in to these special services. They start at 8.15pm but we recommend that you make your way there in good time as people really start to fill the park from about 7pm. There are car park attendants on duty. Orders of service are available as you enter the park and you will soon sense the atmosphere as the music comes from the lorry over the loud speakers. The picture shown to the right is of part of the congregation. It was taken from the top of the trailer during one of the services in the 2009 series.
A DVD is available of each service. If you would like any more details please e-mail us at secretary@driveinchurch.com. . . . Below we have the first four services from the 2009 series in a web resolution: Next: Sunday 19th July.
