Who are the Independent Methodists? Independent Methodism began in Northern Ireland in 1973. Independent Methodists are a fundamental , evangelical and evangelistic, New Testament body of Christians. We believe in a radical new birth experience, a dynamic Spirit filled life, aggressive prayer, separation from worldliness, zealous soul-winning, anointed preaching and the urgent need for Biblical revival.

In doctrine we are Biblical, Wesleyan and Methodist. In government we are strictly independent and self supporting. We accept the Holy Scriptures as our sole authority in matters of Faith and practice. We use the Authorised Version of the Bible, recognising it to be the most accurate translation. We are opposed to the false Ecumenical Movement, World Council of Churches and the modern Charismatic movement. We respect and extend the hand of friendship to born again Christians from other denominations.
