PASTOR'S MESSAGE

" The Inheritance Of Divine Fullness."

An Inheritance is defined as "that which is received by descent or by will."

The blessing of full salvation for every believer is obtainable by virtue of our relationship to God, and on the ground of Divine willingness. God wills the perfect fullness of His people.

"God wills that I should holy be.
That holiness I long to feel
That full Divine conformity
To all my Master's will."

I have written previously regarding the prerequisites to Divine fullness. What are some of the characteristics of full salvation?

1. The Experience of Perfect Peace
Ephesians 3 v.15 "Let the peace of God rule in your hearts."
Herein is the blessing of the peace of God which passeth all understanding, as distinct from peace with God received at the moment of regeneration. Romans 5 v.1 The warring element of the carnal mind is removed.

The Lord presents this ruling peace as a constituent property of full salvation. Hebrews 4 is an extensive expression of the reality and blessing of this second rest. Let us fear lest we come short of God's rest. Verse 1.

Let us be aware there remaineth a rest for the people of God. Verse 9.

Let us labour (agonise) to enter into the rest of full salvation. Verse 11.

"So many Christians fume and fret and chafe at every discomfort, annoyance and disappointment. Their experience is like a mountain stream, rushing and tumbling and whirling... a perpetual roar and dash and foam, and not very much water either." Dr. A.M. Hills "Holiness And Power" Page 302.

What a contrast to the experience of Francis R. Havergal's description of full salvation!

"Like a river glorious is God's perfect peace
Over all victorious in its bright increase.
Perfect, yet it floweth fuller every day.
Perfect, yet it groweth deeper all the way."

2. The Experience Of Perfect Love 1John 4 v's 16-18
The Apostle John addresses the issue of love more than any other New Testament writer. In ch.4, he states, "God is love and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God and God in him. Herein is our love made perfect... There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear. He that feareth is not made perfect in love."

Here is an identity of nature between the God of heaven and the man of God on earth.

"Thy nature, gracious Lord impart,
Come quickly from above.
Write Thy new name upon my heart,
Thy new best name of love."

Charles Wesley "Love is made perfect when the Spirit of love alone reigns in all the heart and life. We love because the Spirit of love dwells in us and that love is made perfect when the indwelling Trinity of love permeates, dominates and possesses us entirely to the praise of His glory and the excellence of His power." Samuel Chadwick "Way To Pentecost" Page 93
