The blessing of full salvation for every believer is obtainable by virtue of our relationship to God, and on the ground of Divine willingness. God wills the perfect fullness of His people.
That holiness I long to feel That full Divine conformity To all my Master's will." I have written previously regarding the prerequisites to Divine fullness. What are some of the characteristics of full salvation?
1. The Experience of Perfect Peace The Lord presents this ruling peace as a constituent property of full salvation. Hebrews 4 is an extensive expression of the reality and blessing of this second rest. Let us fear lest we come short of God's rest. Verse 1. Let us be aware there remaineth a rest for the people of God. Verse 9. Let us labour (agonise) to enter into the rest of full salvation. Verse 11. "So many Christians fume and fret and chafe at every discomfort, annoyance and disappointment. Their experience is like a mountain stream, rushing and tumbling and whirling... a perpetual roar and dash and foam, and not very much water either." Dr. A.M. Hills "Holiness And Power" Page 302. What a contrast to the experience of Francis R. Havergal's description of full salvation!
Over all victorious in its bright increase. Perfect, yet it floweth fuller every day. Perfect, yet it groweth deeper all the way."
2. The Experience Of Perfect Love 1John 4 v's 16-18 Here is an identity of nature between the God of heaven and the man of God on earth.
Come quickly from above. Write Thy new name upon my heart, Thy new best name of love."
