Missionary Focus.
missionary On Wednesday 28th October at 7.45pm we look forward to having Mr Mervyn Tannahill with us at our midweek meeting. Mervyn and his wife, Mildred, serve the Lord with New Tribes Mission and are based at the Bible Training College in Matlock, Derby.

We are very excited about a 5-day special event in November. It starts on Wednesday 11th with the Ugandan Children's Choir and finishes with the two Sunday services. Saturday will be an amazing day with the choir again coming for the monthly DCF rally at 2.30pm. There will be an International Youth Dinner at 5pm followed by a Missionary Rally with Gordon Stewart, Asian Link, at 8pm. We will post more details soon.

Paul Brannon has written, "Getting the most from a missionary visit begins with attitude. Remember, your church needs missionaries as much as they need you. A missionary can't go without financial and prayer support provided by the local church, but a congregation cannot fulfill the Great Commission without missionaries who are willing to take the gospel to the ends of the earth."

2009 teen camp Youth Camps.
During the summer we had about 80 young people attend our camps. It is a real encouragement to our leaders to see the enthusiasm and response of the young people across each of the age brackets.

Our first two weeks of camps were held in July with the first week for 8-11 year olds and the second week for 12-16 years. Our speaker, Mr Jason Baker, from Kentucky, USA, was such an inspiration and we are thankful for the change his ministry has made in the lives of our young people. Both weeks we had the centre in Ballycastle packed full and had a full team of leaders.

The senior camp, for young people aged over 16yrs, was held in Ballyhome, 21st - 24th August. Paul Acheson from Portadown was the speaker and the messages were interesting and relevant. Events included laser quest, abseiling, kayaking, rock climbing & walking.

Thankyou to those who have been praying. The Junior Camp next year will be 12-16th July and Teen Camp is 19-23rd July.

Andrew & Carol Update.
Andrew and Carol Agnew Andrew and Carol Agnew are nearing the end of their work and ministry in Mexico. They plan to return to Ireland mid-October. Pray for them as they leave the work to those whom God has raised up to share their burden. They have much to attend to in these final days.

Andrew and Carol have been co-ordinating the social outreach ministries for OMS International in Mexico. They have been working in Mexico city with Fidel Sanchez amongst street children under the umbrella of OMS International. They have also been involved in church planting work there. They have established a team of nationals who are working among the street children.

Recently they opened the drop in center for street kids. Having co-ordinated the transformation of the building from an old car garage, the opening of this center is the realisation of a vision and an answer to prayer. Pray that all the needs will be met. Our God is faithful! Keep up to date with their ministry by checking on their Blog: Click here.
