This
picture shows a beautiful example of a Donegal stone wall. This has become immensely
popular, probably due to the various colours throughout the
stone and the clean, but rustic appearance. It also looks well
alongside pebbles. |

A raised bed built with Donegal stone, backfilled with Horticultural sand and peat,
covered with landscaping fabric and gold flint and planted up with a grasses theme. It's amazing
what can be done with natural products. Note the edge to the bed using reclaimed cobblestones. |

This photo captures a lot of different materials, showing how you can use various colours
and textures to create an interesting, but easily maintained garden. Here we have used new granite cobbles
to create an edge to the bed and stop the path. Beautiful Wexford pebbles have been used in the architectural
bed and the contrasting rustic pebble in the path. |

For many years we have been building walls, water features and raised beds with black stone or
basalt drawn from Corkey Quarry, Ballyboyland. Our style is different from most others in that
it almost looks like dry stone, but it has the permanence of wet stone. We do not face or clad
block walls, but all our walls are built solely with stone and cement. |

Not only is black stone in good demand for gardens and features, but we also build entrance walls
and pillars and dividing walls with it. Here you will see the high standard to which
all our walls are finished. |

This is a nice shot of the end of a large stone wall. The house is on the Straid Road
between Bushmills and Ballycastle. The Donegal stone is lovely on the sweeping bends. A
coloured concrete path was laid infront of it and the
steps which were made out of reclaimed granite kerb stones tie in well. |
