P.L.S. was established in 1988 by Wesley Stewart in order to meet a rising need in the Portrush area. With a rise in the number of elderly people, an increasing number of business people and people owning holiday homes, P.L.S. set out to provide a complete gardening service to the residents of Portrush.

Still at school, Wesley steadily built up a successful business concentrating on mowing lawns, but also weeding and cutting hedges. This measure of success prompted him to enter the Livewire Small Business Competition in 1990 when, as the youngest entrant (aged 17), he won the "Judges Special Commendation Award".

Leaving Coleraine Inst, Wesley took an apprenticeship in Carrickfergus as a gardener, working in a nursery for the NEELB. He then went on to the Scottish Agricultural College in Ayr, Scotland to study for his H.N.D. in Horticulture.

This included a sandwich year placement, where he had the opportunity of managing a garden centre and also picked up a number of the skills associated with landscaping. He obtained the National Diploma and the H.N.D. with distinction and returned home to Portrush to develop P.L.S.

His style of landscaping is unique; quality, satisfaction and style being part of every job. Every effort is made to ensure that the best products and plants are used in each situation and that the young plants have every opportunity to get established.

With many years of landscaping experience now under his belt, Wesley has a lot of experience to draw from and no doubt will be able to come up with a design tailor made for your situation, requirements and budget!
